Our mission is to collect, preserve, and showcase the objects that reflect the cultural and historical heritage of the Cascapedia River, while fostering public understanding and appreciation of this legacy.
The Museum serves as a lasting tribute to the members of our community and to the visitors who have experienced the unique tradition of salmon fishing on this world-renowned river.
Through our institution, we have the privilege of sharing a rich and inspiring history. However, we cannot fulfill this mission alone. We rely on the support of many individuals to continue our activities, enhance our programs, and bring new projects to life.
Your contribution can truly make a difference. Take a moment to reflect on the richness of our shared heritage and the importance of preserving its memory for future generations.
Join us in supporting and promoting this cultural institution—one in which we can all take pride.

The Cascapedia River Museum looks forward to the opportunities and challenges ahead as we continue our work in preserving and sharing the rich history of the Cascapedia River. Through exhibitions, collections management, research, educational initiatives, and collaboration with other museums, we are committed to deepening public understanding and appreciation of this remarkable heritage.
We are proud of what has been accomplished to date, but we know there is still much to be done. Our mandate, to collect, preserve, and educate—reflects our commitment to safeguarding the history of the river and ensuring that its stories are passed on to future generations. Important work remains to document our heritage and bring its history to life.
The Cascapedia River Museum is a registered Canadian charity and non-profit organization. Donations are eligible for an official Canadian tax receipt.
To help secure the museum's long-term future, the Board of Directors established the Cascapedia River Museum Trust Fund, administered by the Fondation Communautaire Gaspésie–Les Îles, a member of Community Foundations of Canada. Revenue generated by this fund helps support museum operations and provides a stable foundation for the years ahead.
You have an opportunity to make a lasting contribution to the preservation of our heritage. The museum serves as a tribute to our community, to the anglers who shared the Atlantic salmon fishing experience on this world-renowned river, and to the generations who will continue to learn from its legacy.
As recognition of your generosity, your name will be displayed on a commemorative salmon mounted on the exterior of the museum. Salmon sponsorship levels are recognized according to the following donation scale:
